November Update

Greetings, numans! Since our last update, we’ve been hard at work adding some new features to the protocol and wrapping up the final audit review. We appreciate everyone’s patience as things have been a bit dynamic during this time. With the audit complete, we are excited to move towards launch!

New features

To review, the new features that have been added over the past couple months were the dynamic buy fee and the ability to open leveraged positions using the LP or the vault, whichever price is better. These features are complete and were audited as part of the final review. The dynamic buy fee makes the snowball mechanism of the $NUMA token much more aggressive, and the new leverage strategies provide for better pricing and greater leverage possibilities. More details on how these mechanisms work can be found in our previous post here.

Release schedule

A disclaimer—it should be known that the schedule detailed here only represents our expectations. These are not hard deadlines and are subject to whatever unforeseen challenges may arise. We strive to be transparent and communicate with our community, but we are not assigning deadlines for ourselves.

Week of 11/18

Publish new app demo shell: this is a non-functional, demo version of our new app that will be released in stages over the coming months. However, we are publishing the complete front end to show what is to come and receive any feedback from the community.

Week of 11/25

Create and lock new LP with USDC: we will remove the current DAI LP and convert the DAI to USDC. DAI doesn’t automatically route to $NUMA, which has caused problems in the past. So, we are converting it to USDC, and then we will lock the new LP.

Week of 12/2

Vault 2.0 testnet: because we have added the ability to borrow against or open leveraged positions on the $NUMA token, we must move the rETH liquidity to a new vault. This vault 2.0 release provides for our many new features, though the only feature which will be implemented with the vault 2.0 release is the new dynamic fee model: lending and leverage releases are detailed below. Further, the new app will be integrated with the vault 2.0 release, so the public can test it out.

Week of 12/9

Lending & leverage testnet: this release will incorporate the lending and leverage features into our testnet protocol and our new app.

Week of 12/16

Launch vault 2.0 on Arbitrum main net: this is the first release in our cycle that will be live on Arbitrum. This release will include the features described above when vault 2.0 is released on testnet, including our new app and dynamic buy fee.

Week of 1/6

Launch lending on Arbitrum main net: this release will include the lending features, incorporated with our new app.

Week of 1/16

Launch leverage on Arbitrum main net: this release will include the leverage features, incorporated with our new app.

Week of 1/30

Launch nuMoney synthetics and staking on testnet: at this stage, we will launch our full-featured protocol and complete app, including the ability to mint synthetics and stake them to earn yield. This will initially be launched on testnet for the public.

By the end of Q1

Launch nuMoney synthetics and staking on Arbitrum “main net”: at this point, we will be fully live 🚀
